TELL US ABOUT Joel Ozborn

The past year has been a busy one for Joel Ozborn, with the run of his one man show ‘The Madman & Me’ the debut of his latest stand up show ‘Jump Up’ the documentary ‘Always Amazing’ receiving over 1 Million views, along with the release of his short film ‘Knight In Lockdown.’

“He’s disarming; he’s accessible without being common; articulate and clever without being smug… bloody funny.” THE AGE

Now, no one wants to read a long, drawn out, bloated biography, so let’s try and keep this thing on point, along with a few nice things reviewers have said. Where to begin… In his formative years, Joel began his comedy career on the streets, being awarded ‘Street Performer Of The Year’ by the Sydney Opera House. Joel then went on to tour America with acclaimed comedian/magician, The Amazing Johnathan, which has been documented in the award winning documentary film ‘Always Amazing.’

“One of the best things about the festival is a show like Joel Ozborn’s, which defies categorisation, and is all the stronger for it.” THE ADVERTISER

Upon returning to Australia, Joel became a regular in comedy clubs across the nation where he continued to develop his stand up. Since then Joel has gone on to perform regularly at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Adelaide Fringe Festival, The Sydney Comedy Festival, The Brisbane Comedy Festival and has taken his comedy around the world from South East Asia to Las Vegas. Besides Joel’s own festival shows and headline performances, he also continues to tour extensively sharing the stage with the likes of Arj Barker, Akmal Saleh, Anh Do, and that’s just the A’s …

“Joel Ozborn’s physical style of comedy was excellent.” THE SUNDAY TIMES

Although he still enjoys hitting the road with his comedian friends from time to time, these days you can catch Joel at one of the many comedy festivals, headlining comedy clubs, or in his own solo theatre shows…

“Joel’s style of comedy is in a category not occupied by any other comedian; an actor-talented, physical and unique; the spontaneous standing ovation said it all! Remember his name people; he’s going to be BIG! … Outstanding!!!” RIP IT UP
